What the work involves

- Entering transactions in Tally or the ERP and reconciling bank statements.
- Supporting GST records and month end closing.
How to get hired
- A commerce background and basic Tally or ERP skills.
- Accuracy with cash and figures.
- Freshers are considered for assistant and billing roles.
Accounts assistants and billing staff move up to accounts executive and then accountant, taking on metal and stock accounting as they learn it. A CA or CMA qualification opens senior finance roles in the trade. Cashiers often move into accounts this way. Billing experience with gold rates and old gold exchange is specific to the trade and is valued by every jeweller.
