How to get hired

- Experience with an ERP and with reporting in retail or manufacturing.

MIS executives move up to MIS manager or business analyst, and then into planning, merchandising analytics or finance roles. Strong reporting skills are a common route into management at retail chains. Learning a dashboard tool speeds the move.
